I was born and educated in Johannesburg, matriculating from Hyde Park High School before completing my undergraduate medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand.
I specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Witwatersrand rotating through the three main academic hospitals in Johannesburg – Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and Helen Joseph Hospital.
On completing my specialty training in Orthopaedics in 2011, I worked as a consultant at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Limited private practice was performed at the Wits University Donald Gordon Medical Centre. At these centers I was employed in The Orthopaedic Trauma Unit and The Hand and Upper Limb Unit.
During this time period I completed a Specialist Fellowship in Hand Surgery with Dr Mike Carides. Since 2015 I have worked in an association with Dr Walter Stuart and have recently taken over his practice following his move TO the Western Cape. I STILL WORK CLOSELY WITH DR CARIDES AND DR Stuart BOTH EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF HAND SURGERY.
I currently work full time in private practice at Netcare Rosebank Clinic.
